September 1st will mark an important day of celebration in the Hopeless Records and Sub City Non-Profit community, as they mark an important milestone of raising $2 million for over 50 charities. The label and non-profit organization will hold an RSVP only event in Hollywood, California to honor those involved.
Hopeless Records President and Sub City Executive Director Louis Posen has said the achievement could not have been reached if it were not for the dedicated musicians, fans, and community taking part.
Breaking $2 million donated to charity is a reminder to me of how powerful music, music fans, musicians and the music community can be in making a positive impact in the world. A huge thank you to all of you who have played a part in reaching this milestone. We are eager and passionate in working with you to make an even bigger difference from this day forward, Posen says.
From Take Action tours to compilations, to Sub City releases and events, the music label and its community have played a huge part in raising money for many different causes.
Honorees will include Mike Shea and Alternative Press, Jason Tate and Absolutepunk.net, Hot Topic, iTunes, Red Bull, and GRACE.
