Following a storming late night set at The Great Escape last weekend, Manchester punk quartet Loose Articles have revealed the video for their new single, Dirty Dicks Food & Ale Emporium. The track is a love letter to their favourite teenage haunt in Halifax which sadly became the latest victim of gentrification, the track is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming second EP, Chaos, that will be released later this year through Alcopop! Records.

“‘Dirty Dicks Food and Ale Emporium’ is a tune where I reminisce about my teenage years. I spent my weekends at The Royal Oak pub in Halifax, dancing the night away at gigs filled with local bands with a can of beer firmly in one hand and my fake ID in the other. One night the floor caved in during a gig, resulting in the police coming and busting all the underaged drinkers. The Royal Oak as I knew it was no more and changed hands to Dirty Dicks Food and Ale Emporium, trying to be classy with fancy ales and not boozed-filled teenagers. 12 years later I still think about my first true love, the wonderful pub which was The Royal Oak.”

The four piece recently completed a string of headline dates and festival appearances including Gold Sounds Festival and Stockton Calling, with their scheduled summer Foo Fighters support slot now sadly cancelled in light of recent events. With a busy summer still on the cards, the band will be appearing at Dot To Dot Festival, Beat-Herder, TRUCK and Manchester Psych Fest with more details of the EP and further live dates to be announced over the coming months.
