Getting Dumber Present “Dried Flowers” From Upcoming “Just A Second” EP
Perth trio, Getting Dumber struck the local scene in late 2022 putting their own spin on melody and power-chord driven punk…
For the last 26 years, Chuck Robertson has been the lead singer of the Ska Punk Dixie Reggae band the Mad Caddies. Growing up in a small rural community on the central coast of California deep in the heart of cowboy wine country there wasn’t a lot going on, so Chuck and his friends gathered in garages, barns and anywhere else they could find to try their hand at making music together. Within a year and a half, The Mad Caddies were signed to Fat Wreck Chords the legendary record label who released their first album, Quality Soft Core, in 1997 and continue to put out the band’s releases to this day.
This is when they began living their wildest dreams. They toured all over the world, everywhere and anywhere they could play. The Mad Caddies have now performed in over 72 countries worldwide with a community of friends and family they have built around the world is one they never take for granted, and are very grateful for their ongoing wonderful career playing music. When the pandemic started Chuck got busy writing and recording new music but recognized it had a different feel than what the Mad Caddies are known for so he started a new project, Chuck Robertson and Friends.
The first single ‘Under Me‘ is coming out now and the next single, Mountain Flower, that will be accompanied with a music video, will be released on June 10th with the the album, All Out Of Dreams, following on July 9th. All the Mad Caddies fans out there will be happy to hear they will back on tour soon and there are plans for live dates for Chuck Robertson and Friends in the works as well.
To celebrate this milestone, pre-order the album, and to get the word out about this new chapter of music, Chuck’s running a Kickstarter project for the album. This limited-time offering includes rewards like vinyl, enamel pins, art prints, live streams, exclusive debuts, songwriting clinics, and so much more that will only be available via the Kickstarter.
