Mad Tab Unleash “Animals” From Upcoming “Alas! The Bomb Voyage…” Album

Southern California’s Mad Tab have released their new single, Animals, and have also announced that their forthcoming full-length, Alas! The Bomb Voyage…, will be released on September 18th via InnaNuttshell Reekordingz, the label founded by former Fishbone bassist and co-founder Norwood Fisher. Raw, technical, and relentlessly charged, Animals captures Mad Tab‘s volatile combination of SoCal punk urgency, intricate musicianship, dual lead vocals, analog synth textures, and four-part harmonies. The track offers another look at a band that has spent nearly two decades developing a sound that is aggressive, unpredictable, and difficult to neatly categorize.

Formed in 2006 in the South Orange County underground, Mad Tab built their reputation through house parties, bowling alley shows that erupted into riots, abrupt shutdowns, lineup changes, and extended periods of silence. Along the way, the band explored reggae, rocksteady, and ska before returning to the punk foundation they had never stopped writing toward. After two decades of chaos, setbacks, near-misses, and reinvention, Mad Tab are no longer building toward something. With Animals and the September 18th release of Alas! The Bomb Voyage…, the band are ready to show exactly what they have become.
