There has been a lot happening in the Blink 182 family over the past year, and keeping up with the all the happenings can be confusing.  Thankfully Mark Hoppus has stepped up and posted a fairly concise blog entry about what the future holds for Blink 182 specifically, including time frames, recording schedules, and touring:

“In June and July we will be at the rehearsal spot, getting ready for the European tour this summer, and writing new songs. When the European tour is finished, we head back and play ONE SHOW in Southern California. Then that is IT for live shows for the rest of 2010. Why? Because we’ll be in the studio recording the new blink-182 album. Until it is finished. I cannot be more clear on this: new blink-182 music is on the way.”

Hoppus also cleared up confusion about a recent teaser on Los Angeles that mistakenly hinted at a new song premier, stating that  the station was “referring to another band. Not blink-182.”  Hoppus also goes on to give details about his upcoming tv show on Fuse, A Different Spin With Mark Hoppus.  The TV show is set to premier in September, and will feature Hoppus doing everything from interviews to juvenile hijinks.

And for those worried that all these commitments might stretch the band thin, Hoppus reassured fans, stating “The new blink-182 album and this tv show are my passions and priorities above all else this year. I’m definitely going to be exhausted and overworked, but between the two projects, I haven’t been this excited and motivated in a long time.”
