Middle-Out Issue New Single “Pipe Dream”

As the old saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait.” In the case of Detroit melodic punk trio Middle-Out, the wait has been almost two and a half years since they released new music. Following up on their self-titled debut album, the band are back with their brand new single, Pipe Wrench, that is available through streaming platforms via Punkerton Records. Mixed and mastered by Chris Fogal (The Gamits), Pipe Wrench captures the essence of who Middle-Out are, while also charting new territory as a band. Lyrically, it’s a song that is relatable to all of us. We all have hopes and dreams for our lives. For whatever reason, we put barriers and doubts in the way of accomplishing those dreams, making them more and more like a pipe dream with each excuse. However, hearing more music from Middle-Out won’t be a pipe dream. They’re currently working on the follow-up to their 2024 album and will be in the studio sooner than you think to record it.

When deadlines and responsibilities pile in front of you, it’s easier to dig yourself into a hole than it is to scratch and claw your way forward, especially when you are the biggest thing standing in your way. Pipe Wrench” sings of the endless dream of getting through the mess. How the dream becomes more and more faint until it’s given up on entirely. It becomes buried inside of you while you’re buried under the things left undone. Every new demand forces you against your will to add another pipe to that pipe dream. Every obligation is another monster creeping under your bed that wakes you in a panic just as you begin to fall asleep.
