Manchester Punk Festival have released the 36th volume of their compilation series ahead of next year’s festival. Manchester Punk Festival Vol. 36 is…
Milhouse Van Halen, the happy drummer turned miserable acoustic punkster, starts 2020 with the sixth of his twelve monthly EPs “6” that addresses friendship and moving on. Milhouse Van Halen keeps things lo-fi with just guitar and voice, influenced by the likes of Elliot Smith, Paul Baribeau and early Green Day, the majority of his lyrics come from real-life experiences that he wants to convey to others so they can find some comfort. ‘Friendship’ was written after leaving a town he’d called home for a few years and realising that, like girlfriends, sometimes people just drift apart and they don’t even notice. ‘Letting Go‘ is much the same and encompasses the acceptance that things have changed and you might not need them anymore. “6” is now available via Digital Service Providers and as a ‘name your price’ download via the Horn And Hoof Records Bandcamp
