Morocco Release Two New Singles “Keep Walking By” & “Close To Me”

Dallas, TX’s Morocco, who feature former members of The Dolly Llamas, Division of Power and Excretion in their line up, blend skatepunk, post hardcore and pop punk. The band released their debut EP, The Cheap Mic EP, just last month and have already come screaming back with two more singles, Keep Walking By and Close To You, that are now available via digital platforms.

“Keep Walking By isthe perfect holiday reminder to not pay any attention to the troubles of those around us and just keep walking by, and stuffing our faces while the less fortunate starve in tent city. Eesh. So maybe that came off a little harsh. The band definitely wants their fans to enjoy themselves and “treat themselves” whenever possible but in this consumer culture it’s important to remember that many of us are just one step away from financial ruin. And it’s important to remember those less fortunate than ourselves.”

Keep Walking By, itself a throwaway single without a home, was inspired by Ben’s time spent emerging at the fabled DIY club 1919 Hemphill and his interactions with the homeless population in the area. Morocco have also released an acoustic version of the song Close To You, both songs are available as name your price downloads via Bandcamp. Morocco will be releasing more new music in 2022.
