New Interview: The Flatliners

While I was at the Vans Warped Tour in California with some other Canadian media outlets, there was one band that we hung out with quite a lot. That band was Toronto’s The Flatliners and we hung out with them because not only were they one of the few Canadian brethren on the tour but they were friends with all the other Toronto reporters as well. It seemed like every time we were looking for someone, they’d be at The Flats‘ merch tent, shooting the shit, drinking beers and having a good time.

In a way, that’s what The Flatliners are all about: having a good time. In their early twenties, the band already has two full lengths on the venerable Fat Wreck Chords – the latest one, Cavalcade, was just released this past April – and are busy touring the world in support of them. What more could you ask for? The Vans Warped Tour was yet another stop in their constant touring schedule and after hanging out for a while, we decided it was time to do some real reporting and record an interview.
