‘Pet Rituals’ – A Short Film Set In The DIY Hardcore Scene
Pet Rituals is a new movie by J. Casey Modderno that is set in the DIY hardcore scene that has become an Official Selection for the 2017 Raindance Film Festival and AFI Fest. Moments before a hardcore band takes the stage, the lead singer tries to break off her toxic relationship with the band’s drummer only to see the breakup take an explosive turn. The short film also features music from Maladjusted, Left Astray, David Shapiro, Torie Rivera, Wendy Eisenberg, Infinite Body, David Miller, Sophia Duenas, Austin Ford and Fugazi. J. Casey Modderno grew into the arts playing in punk bands on the east-coast, Pet Rituals is his second film to hit the festival circuit.
