Pony & MSPAINT Team Up On “Haunted House” Remix

Fresh off of the release of their sophomore LP Velveteen, Pony have teamed up with Hattiesburg, Mississippi synth punk icons MSPAINT for a remix of their track, Haunted House, that is out now via Take This To Heart Records. The seeds of  this collaboration were planted after the bands met on tour supporting Militarie Gun last fall and while this pairing might not be the one that you expect, it packs a punch.

While the original rendition of Haunted House rests on heavy, distorted guitars and Sam Bielanski‘s ethereal vocal, the MSPAINT remix injects the song with new energy. Blown out breakbeats, fuzz bass and walls of synth lift the song to another level while Sam’s vocal is pitch shifted, distorted and often sampled to become a new instrument in its own right.
