Fresh from a successful run of shows supporting The Levellers and The Luka State, proFESSional have unleashed their high energy love song to urban living, In The City, that is now available via streaming platforms, the track is taken from their upcoming full length that is due out this Autumn. proFESSional’s jagged and angular sound is turned up to eleven on In The City. It perfectly encapsulates the feeling of blindly loving your city despite the bullshit you have to put up with. Its unrelenting guitar riffs and powerful expressive vocals reflect the madness of the city around them, showcasing their unapologetic post-punk attitude reminiscent of bands like The Hives, Buzzcocks and The Stooges. 

“It was inspired by Mark E. Smith and The Fall. I turned on YouTube to watch their concert and literally half way through the initial song Mark nonchalantly throws out “in the city” and something clicks in my head and in 5 minutes I had almost written the whole track.” (lead singer Mani)
