Recollection trade in aggression for vulnerability on their forthcoming EP, Intrusive Thoughts, that is set for release on August 28th through DAZE. Each track resonates on a different period of life, from Lost In Translation that is about navigating through finding your place in the modern world, to Son that addresses the changes brought on you when becoming a parent. Today, Recollection have shared the EP’s lead single and title track that features guest vocals from Cherish Hynes. Driven by anxiety, the song plays through candid vocals and repetitive hooks, backed by jangly melodies. The video for the single, shot and directed by G, captures the contemplative nature of the release alongside a performance from the band.

“‘Intrusive Thoughts is about being in a relationship and not being able to avoid self sabotage. Once you have a thought in your head it’s next to impossible to get it out. Leading to obsessive over thinking to the point of effecting sleep patterns and every day life. All of this fault inevitably falling back on oneself.”
