Atlanta, GA punk-rockers Reconciler have released their new album, Art For Our Sake, that’s a sucker punch of high energy and hard truths. Art For Our Sake is out today via Smartpunk Records, the album was recorded and mastered by Derron Nuhfer at Sarlacc Studios in Atlanta, GA and was mixed by Ryan Williams at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, FL.

“This record is a journey. I’m weary of calling it a concept album because that label seems distracting – but it is one. I’d rather just think of it as a journey. Hopefully, a new perspective and a few bigger questions come around along the way as well. Some of these songs lash out at the red team and some lash out at the blue team, but they all mourn those exploited most by a broken system. Mostly, these songs are personal. They are about making mistakes constantly while navigating a complicated world and trying to do so with a little grace. They are about growth, change, and greater aspirations. They are about trying to protect and cultivate a creative spirit on one hand while selling pieces of it off to survive with the other. Ultimately, these songs are about searching for a better lens – one that can reveal brighter light and greener grass right here, right now instead of over there, up around the bend, tomorrow, or yesterday. This isn’t Art For Art’s Sake. It doesn’t stand alone, devoid of intention, symbolism, opinion, or the essence of the human spirit. We made it as an extension of ourselves with the intention of connecting more deeply with our community. This is Art for Our Sake.” (vocalist Joseph Lazzari)
