Red Scare Signs Elway
Red Scare Industries has signed Fort Collins, Colorado’s Elway and plan to release their debut record in 2011. The band will be recording the album this January with Matt Allison at Atlas Studios in Chicago.
All the members of the band were previously in 10-4 Eleanor (of which you can still download their releases for free from Death to False Hope Records). However, wanting a fresh start, the band has renamed themselves and are coming out strong again.
Red Scare head honcho, Toby Jeg, commented on the signing saying:
With all these Red Scare bands attaining full blown stardom and achieving the height of success, it occurred to us that we need some fresh young talent to exploit. It’s like in that movie Mean Girls where they see the new dumpy girl and the cool kids are all, “Omigod, total PROJECT!” This is very much like that, except that instead of nubile nymphs, it’s a buncha grown men with drinking problems.
