Manchester Punk Festival Releases 37th Compilation
Manchester Punk Festival have released the 37th volume of their compilation series ahead of this year’s festival. Manchester Punk Festival Vol. 37 is…
Released in September 1979, The Ruts sole studio album, The Crack, was an extraordinary statement of intent. As the energy and attitude of punks first wave started to dissipate, here was a band that exploded onto the scene with everything to offer. The Crack had it all, twelve power packed songs brimming with invention and energy. Malcolm Owen‘s snarling vocals, Paul Fox‘s soaring guitar and the incredible rhythm pairing of bassist John Jennings and drummer Dave Ruffy came together to create an album that is as relevant and important now as it was then. As 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of The Crack, Ruts DC are proud to announce a special tour to celebrate the albums original release, playing it in its entirety for the very first time.
You can view The Crack 40th anniversary tour dates below
Support on all dates will come from recently reunited post-pistols legends The Professionals and together with Ruts DC, this tour will serve as a worthy tribute to The Crack and two of its much-missed creators Malcolm Owen and Paul Fox.
