Kevin Bogart of the band Trophy Lungs recently put together a digital compilation featuring 44 bands from across the globe in an effort to raise money and awareness for the organization Black Lives Matter.
The mission of Black Lives Matter is to affirm and embrace the resistance and resilience of Black people. Black Lives Matter is working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically and intentionally targeted for demise. More information about the organization can be found here.
The album is listed as “pay what you want” on bandcamp and with 100% of the proceeds raised by the album set to be donated to Black Lives Matter in two weeks. The album features the likes of Banquets, Defeater, Devon Kay & The Solutions, Elway, Gameday Regulars, Honah Lee, Remnants, The Holy Mess, The Stereo State,Timeshares, Trophy Lungs, Worship This, and many more.
