Spanish Love Songs have released a new original track, Lifers Too, that represents the final instalment in a line of previously reworked songs that were released under the title No Joy Sessions. These stripped versions of the songs from the No Joy album have them finding peace in quieter moments and embracing the negative space. The band will play Furnace Fest on Friday 3rd October before heading to Europe to perform a series of headline shows before joining Hot Water MusicComeback KidJoyce Manor and more punk and alternative bands in playing the brand new travelling festival, Common Thread.

“If you couldn’t guess, Lifers Too is a sibling song to Lifers, a companion story told from the opposite perspective. It’s a song about selfishness and the cognitive dissonance of planning for a future you don’t see yourself having. We could never crack a satisfying arrangement in the studio, so the full version missed out on making the record. This is an expanded version of the original acoustic arrangement. I imagine we’ll still get a full band version out some day.” (vocalist Dylan Slocum)
