Getting Dumber Present “Dried Flowers” From Upcoming “Just A Second” EP
Perth trio, Getting Dumber struck the local scene in late 2022 putting their own spin on melody and power-chord driven punk…
Spunk Volcano, singer, songwriter and guitarist, along with his star studded band, The Eruptions, is equally inspired by the joys and hates of life itself, together Spunk Volcano And The Eruptions will take you on a nostalgia trip to better times, or a glimpse at a day in the life of the everyday working class hero, perhaps a visit to darker times. Tongue in cheek words of joy or despair, honest words in a fragile scared society. Touring up and down the UK and mainland Europe over the last decade, and releasing numerous albums and EP’s on the way, the end is now in sight with the release of the appropriately titled final album, Knackers Yard.
Spunk Volcano And The Eruptions may contain two members of UK punk rock and rollers Dirt Box Disco, but they are far from being a part-time side project. Knackers Yard is their fifth and final full length album. Unchained from the restraints of his guitar and taking on lead vocal duties, Spunk Volcano has free reign to indulge himself and his song writing to whatever style he sees fit. From sweetly sappy love songs, to hardcore thrash and everything in between, there are no rules or boundaries for him or The Eruptions. But much like his work in Dirt Box Disco, for Spunk Volcano, the melody, the sing-a-long and the ear-worm always remains the number one focus.
Knackers Yard is now available digitally and on CD Avenue Recordz, the album features eleven brand new tracks, with an additional bonus track, Shit Stirrers And Scaremongers, on the CD. The band will be appearing at Bristol’s The Fleece alongside the Anti-Nowhere League on the 29th July and will then be making their final live appearance at the Rebellion Festival on Friday 5th August.
