New England’s Stab are busy crafting punchy melodic hardcore that beckons on nostalgia, today the band have announced that their debut album, Lost In Maine, will be released on July 24th and can now be pre-ordered through Unbeaten Records. Having already shared New England Numb that featured Citizen‘s Mat Kerkes, the band have now unveiled the album’s second single Irish Goodbye. Closing out the record, the song jolts from the get go with infectious guitar lines, with vocalist Nik Coggins delivering lyrics of being true to yourself and casting fake friends aside. Stab will also be appearing at Biddeford, ME’s Rumors on the 27th June wth Wisdom & War, Clockout and Quick to Judge
“Stab as a whole is a love letter to where we’re from. Musically, we’ve been spoiled to grow up in the New England hardcore scene. Lyrically we’re trying to capture how and where we’ve grown up. The melancholy and loneliness of a New England winter, falling in love during the summer months, battling addiction, losing your friends, being surrounded by people you can’t stand and pushing on despite it all.”
