Stove To Release ‘Favorite Friend’ On Halloween

Stove was started as a solo project for Ovlov guitarist and vocalist Steve Hartlett during one of Ovlov‘s break ups, Favorite Friend is Stove‘s first record with a defined line up and the collaborative songwriting really shows. Definitely still a lot to like for fans of Ovlov, big fuzzy guitars, Dinosaur Jr. influences and the off kilter poignancy in Steve’s lyrics, but this record hinges on the contributions of all four members, especially drummer and vocalist Jordyn Blakely who shapes the band’s sound with her vocals and understated drumming. Favorite Friend will be released on October 31st via Exploding In Sound Records and two tracks, Duckling Fantasy and Mosquiter, can be streamed now via Bandcamp here
