Sum 41 Frontman Hospitalized
Deryck Whibley, the energetic front man of Sum 41, has been hospitalized in Sydney, Australia after contracting a nasty bout of pneumonia. The band explained:
We regret to inform everyone that we have had to canceled a few shows due to Deryck whibley being hospitalized with severe pneumonia. Deryck is currently being treated in a Sydney hospital.
Doctors are doing their best to beat the pneumonia and deryck will remain in Sydney until he has recovered.
As soon as deryck is out of the hospital the band will return back to the stage performing their Screaming Bloody Murder world tour with the usual high energy kick ass shows
Unfortunately, his illness coincides with the release of the band’s 5th studio album Screaming Bloody Murder which is due to hit the shops March 29th. The band, who are currently on tour in Australia in support of the album launch, have had to cancel future tour dates until Deryck is fit to take to the stage. So far the following dates of their Australian tour have been cancelled.
