Talk Show Host Reveal New Single & Video ‘Crisis Actors’

Talk Show Host‘s new single, Crisis Actors, is about the horror of discovering that one asshole on your timeline. You know who I’m talking about. The cliché is that it’s always that one guy from High School, but at some point you realize nearly half the country is that one guy, and whatever you’re thinking about him, he’s thinking the same about you. So it’s also about the struggle and ultimate failure to empathize with a worldview that is completely incompatible with our own moral centre and how, in the end, we’re all screwed anyway.

Crisis Actors is drawn from Mid-Century Modern, the upcoming debut full length from Toronto’s Talk Show Host that will be released on the 4th June via Wiretap Records & Disconnect Disconnect Records. The album declares its love for ‘90s punk, larger than life guitars, catchy pop melodies and indie rock detours. This is the sound of a band that has taught themselves all the tricks in the power-pop playbook and left notes in the margins.
