French melodic hardcore quartet The Amsterdam Red Light District have today released their new album, Trapped, via Blood Blast Distribution. The band are widely-regarded following the release of the debut, Dear Diary, and their subsequent albums, Gone For A While and Sapere Aude. Hailing from Lyon, the band are first and foremost a live band; a frenzied tour-de-force of melodic energy. Influenced by bands such as Refused, Fever 333, Raised Fist and their collaborators in Stray From The Path.

Primarily inspired by Enlightenment values, The Amsterdam Red Light District‘s music advocates liberty, progress, tolerance and fraternity. These themes are heard throughout Trapped, including Good Intentions, a searing indictment of self-determination which features Drew York from legendary hardcore band Stray From The Path. It’s an album which is a message of support for all those who feel like they’re the only ones who don’t agree with this weird world, and what better soundtrack for this than brilliantly crafted, upbeat hardcore punk?
