The Brains are one of the hardest working bands on the planet, consistently churning out new music and taking their raucous brand of punk meets rockabilly on the road to their legion of fans. Even though The Brains have had to fight back through several recent setbacks, the band is now poised to come roaring back with a brand new video for their recent single, fittingly enough a supercharged version of Elton John’s ode to perseverance, I’m Still Standing, as well as announcing a set of new Canadian tour dates for May.
I’m Still Standing follows on the heels of several new singles the band has released this year, all of which find Rene D La Muerte putting his unique cranked up spin on some of the great songs from the American rock n’ roll canon. The video concept for I’m Still Standing will be a familiar one for those who share The Brains’ affection for classic horror character Wednesday Addams.

The Brains will also be reissuing some of their older albums, starting with the band’s debut album, No Brain No Pain, that is now available on CD via Cleopatra Records with vinyl to follow on June 30th.
