The Faps have been called “math-rock for home-schooled kids,” others say things like “avant-punk-jazz” while most scream “dear god, why is that man-boy dressed like a princess and destroying a baby doll?” whilst being drowned out by otherworldly guitar noise and a relentless carnival of drums. These two prairie kids (currently surviving in Saskatoon, SK) have been making a mess since 2012, touring all over Canada at a ridiculous pace. The duo have now revealed the video for Deja Vu, a track drawn from the upcoming New Daft Punk EP that will be released on the 4th June via Transistor 66.

On the New Daft Punk EPThe Faps manage to showcase a bizarre expanse of sounds and ideas within 14 quick minutes. The result is a chaotic parade that ranges from crushingly heavy to absurdly catchy, to lush, tender soundscapes and back again, often within the same song, sometimes within the same moment. With the help of violin and saxophone, courtesy of respectfulchild and Brodie Moniker, The Faps once again expect you to expect the unexpected, drop your guard, and run giggling to the mosh pit while the world burns around you.
