The Godfathers are kick starting their 40th anniversary celebrations with a string of UK dates and a new compilation album. 2025 marks four decades since the band rose out of the ashes of The Sid Presley Experience to become one of the UK’s most respected and consistent rock’n’roll bands, which continues to tour the world to this day. The Godfathers will celebrate this historic milestone with multiple record releases as well as tours and festivals across the UK, Europe and around the world.
The first release will be an 18 track compilation album, Electric Déjà Vu, that will be released in April and will feature tracks personally selected by The Godfathers‘ founder and frontman Peter Coyne from the band’s three most recent studio albums; 2013’s Jukebox Fury, 2017’s A Big Bad Beautiful Noise and 2022’s Alpha Beta Gamma Delta.
A brand new double A side studio single will follow in the Summer, with an archive double live album promised for later in the year. These releases will pave the way for an album of new material in 2026. In the meantime, The Godfathers will be playing their annual Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre show at London’s Garage on Friday 14th February, followed by three further dates around the UK. The Godfathers will then head to mainland Europe for a run of dates in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and France.
