Based out of Detroit, The Idiot Kids have been keeping punk weird since 2011. They have the energy of punk, the roughened aesthetic of garage rock and the melodic sensibilities of art pop. The trio play music with shake-you-up hooks, frenzied tempos, gnarly guitars and anthemic vocals with live performances that blend the theatricality of glam with the raw energy of hardcore. The band have today released their new single, White Flags, that is backed up with a cover of Agent Orange’s Bloodstains on the flipside.

White Flags is the first single off The Idiot Kids upcoming full length, Chapels, that is set to be released on December 2nd. The tracks were recorded by the band in their practice space in a basement in Hamtramck, along with a few songs tracked at a cabin in Northern Michigan. Chapels was written, engineered and mixed by their lead singer and founder Jon-Mikal Bartee; this album fully represents the DIY heart of the group with some of their most raw and emotional tracks to date.
