The Maraschinos Get Their Claws Out On New Single “Meow”
The Maraschinos are back with Meow, a purr-fect new single that trades summer romance for something more sinister. With its femme-punk attitude, Meow finds The Maraschinos embracing the ugly, obsessive parts of a revenge fantasy. That darkness is a sharp turn from their previous single, I Think About You In The Shower, that was a bright, summery confession about the intoxicating experience of having a crush on someone after a long dry spell. If their last single was The Maraschinos falling headfirst in love, Meow is them climbing back out of the wreckage with their claws out.
The Maraschinos will be appearing at LA’s Silverlake Lounge on the 17th October, Fullerton Museum Center‘s Garden Session on the 22nd October, and San Franciscos’s Knockout on the 24th October, with more shows following across the Winter months.
