The Brickabrats Release Debut Single & Video “Fun Night”
Portland, OR's The Brickabrats have released their debut single and video, Fun Night, that was mixed by Mark Kaeder with…
On the edge of The Punk Site‘s 2021 top 10 is The Rise And Fall Of Blasphemouth, the solo album from Evil Blizzard‘s Filthydirty that was released in May via Crackedankles Records. Filthydirty had this to say about the release; “This album initially was unused Blizzard songs that weren’t really suitable for the band. Some didn’t work out at all, others disfigured into some tracks here. Other disasters belched themselves out as the process unfolded. Original recordings range from 2015-20 but the album itself was recorded in the midst of the claustrophobia and paranoia of Spring 2020. Please note all tracks produced, recorded and mixed by Filthydirty, so in places this could be described sonically as ‘enthusiastic’. The professional company who mastered this said certain songs were ‘as loud as it’s possible to be while still sounding like music’ which will do for me. So in those bits where you think “Is it supposed to sound like that?” the answer is “Yes””.

“This album is about as left field as it gets for me and I love it. Irrespective of its position in the PunkSite’s top 20 it is my personal favourite and my No 1 album of 2021. Filthy Dirty told me he wouldn’t be doing a second solo album. Boooooo!!!!” (Gary Hough, December 2021)
