The Twistettes Announce New Single “Tory Cunts”

 The Twistettes will release their new single, Tory Cunts, on the 21st march, the track is the lead single from their upcoming third studio album. Tory Cunts delivers the signature frenzied sound and a “spade in the face” message where guttural banshee screams shriek out for change to our broken system. Written through tears of frustration and anger on the eve of the last election, it seems fitting that it is finally released as a studio recorded single as we plunge towards the 2024 election with this tribal, primal scream echoing from our ragged lungs. The full album will be out in 2025 with a series of singles leading up to its launch.

Sisters Jo and Nicky Darc make up The Twistettes with their dirty, twisted bass sound, a hit of swinging flare and thumping driving drums. They are punk, alt-rock, riot grrrl, real-deal indie with a touch of psychobilly. The band have performed at various venues from the giddy highs of the legendary Glasgow Barrowlands to sweatbox underground secret parties.
