David Delinquent Releases “Scared To Spend” EP
Dundee’s David Delinquent (The Delinquents / David Delinquent & The IOU’s / Football, Beer & Punk Rock Podcast) has self released a brand new EP, Scared…
Toria & The Terror have taken a page from early My Chemical Romance with their new single, Funeral, that is out today through streaming platforms via We Are Horror Records. The song is driven by an aggressive up-tempo drumbeat with melodic verses filled with layered harmonies to create a choir effect. Throughout the song, harmonised guitar riffs paired with a harrowing church organ paint a melancholic scene of a funeral in a gothic church with a little graveyard attached.
“After a tragic life event, that version of you at the time is dead, like you don’t recognize that
person. That’s usually how I feel after a tragic event. I’ll look at pictures of myself from the
past and I’m like ‘Who is she? I have no clue who that is.’ It’s more than just growing stronger
from tragedy. It’s like ‘No, I am a new Toria. I’m still me, but I’m a new me, like Tomie. (For the uninitiated, Tomie is a character from a Japanese horror manga series)” (Toria)
