Pittsburgh indie folk-punk one man band The Homeless Gospel Choir has debuted a brand new music video. The video features the track is and is set to appear on the band’s recently announced album, I Used To Be So Young, due out on July 15, 2014 via A-F Records. The band comments on the content:
“On Thanksgiving Weekend this year I was watching the news and there was a whole string of Holiday sales adds about the door busting savings, and early bird specials, and all the bells and whistles that come along with it… In between a constant bombardment of commercials, a news flash scrolled across the screen that said “Woman was trampled to death in a department store. Stay tuned to get the full scoop.” And without missing a beat the network went right back to holiday commercials, advertisements, and whatever bullshit they were being paid to advertise. I was so Utterly disgusted by what I had seen, I grabbed my notepad and pen and wrote what would become “Black Friday.” I hope This video disturbs you as much as it disturbs me.”
