Woman Wept are set to release their first single ‘Short Change’ on February 14th.  The femme/queer riot-girrrrl band from the nice little hamlet of London have been going for a year or so, and are now ready to explode onto the scene with a physical/digital ear worm that’s been lovingly prepared just for you! This isn’t an ordinary riot-girrrl track, this is anger tamed and smoothed around the edges, into something that’s non the less poignant, this song takes punk ideals and adds its own slant.

This is music that drops bass lines from the heart, soft guitars and drum beats made from silver bullets and vocals that tear up the rule book with a targeted angst, but also give off a vulnerability that’s not there to be taken advantage of. This is considered beautiful music that’s centred on living life to its own tune, not punk in its shortest form, but with all the need to rebel against whatever comes between it and its goal.
