Won’t Stay Dead Announce “3 Hits From Purgatory” EP

Won’t Stay Dead formed in 2017 in Chicago, IL by vocalists Violet and Saffron who have been involved in Chicago’s punk scene for over a decade in bands such as When Flying Feels Like Falling and Ultrahazard. These bands lead to the forming of the horror-themed punk project Won’t Stay Dead, which blends catchy hooks and harmonies with macabre lyrics about murder and all things otherworldly.

The band released their debut full-length, Purgatory, in October 2021 via Don’t Panic Records, featuring songs inspired by classic horror movies, including The Lost Boys, Ginger Snaps, Deep Red and Rear Window. Last month they appeared on Horrorpunk’s Not Dead! Vol. 1 compilation via the UK’s We Are Horror Records, the band have now announced that they will release their new EP, 3 Hits From Purgatory, in February 2023 via We Are Horror Records.

Won’t Stay Dead aren’t done with 2022 just yet, On the 19th November the band will be appearing at Chicago’s The Bakery with Heet Deth, Cranberry Batcave, Fire Catl and Clear Coats before seeing the year out at The Eighth Annual War on X-Mas on the 3rd December alongside Brendan Kelly (The Lawrence Arms), Josh Caterer (The Smoking Popes), The Falcon, The Dopamines and Tightwire
