Baby Chaos

Ape Confronts Cosmos - Three Hands Records

Baby Chaos, let’s gets this out of the way immediately, break down the band name “Baby” New into the world, Small child.  “Chaos” Disorder, Confusion, Mayhem.  Both these descriptions fit perfectly to the sound of this band, a sound that is totally new and fresh, filled with chaos and confusion musically, you can never settle on any one sound specifically, but put this all together and you get something special.

Residing in the Glasgow area at the moment, they have released three albums previously the last being “Skulls Skulls Skulls”, “Show Me The Glory” back in 2015. But this album stands totally on its own, and being personally glad that the last 3 albums passed me by, this means there is a world of Baby Chaos to now discover.

Where do you start with an album of so much differing elements that your head is spinning from song to song and the eclectic moments of sound have you grasping at influences and then throwing them out, unwilling to box any song in, although Muse does seem to throw parties somewhere within the depths of this album.  Sublime moments of passion and power Rock’N’Roll fill tracks like “Out Of The Blue” “You Won You Won” and “Run Toward The Roar” which could have easily been the heart of any other album and you might have forgiven them for going down this route for the entire piece.

But when your senses are then taken down colourful acoustic pathways to reach the heart rendering places that all music should aspire to, with songs like “The Wild Beast” and “I Belong In Battle” then slapping you in the face with pure rock power, you know you now confronted with something so very much a cut above the ordinary!

Beautiful, inspiring, powerful, moving and an all together kaleidoscope of wonder… Ape Confronts Cosmos!

Released March 6th on Three Hands Records
