Amber Pacific

Fading Days - Hopeless Records

Amber Pacific is a new band; unless you’re from Seattle, you’ve probably never heard of them before. Hopeless Records did hear about them though and they then decided to sign them. Now with their debut EP, Fading DaysAmber Pacific might just become a name that much more people recognize.

With only five songs on it, this EP is short; clocking in at under eighteen minutes. But even in the short amount of time you have to get to know these guys, you still find out a lot about them. The first thing you notice in the band is the similarities to other bands. They sound so incredibly similar to countless bands, Hidden In Plain View and The Starting Line are two examples, and yet they are still so very different from all the bands out there too. They have something different in their sound, something small and somewhat unnoticeable, but something that makes their sound new. From the acoustic ballard of Here We Stand, or the catchy track of The Last Time, to the high tempo opener Thoughts Before Me, each song is always enjoyable and catchy. The lyrics aren’t anything spectacular, but are still quite catchy.

Amber Pacific‘s EP will easily appeal to the mass pop-punk fans around the globe. You can listen to the album over and over again without ruining it. Give this band time to grow, and Amber Pacific will be a well known band.
