The New Catastrophes “Weather The Storm” On New Album
San Jose, CA's The New Catastrophes have released their new album, Weather The Storm, via streaming platforms, as a free…
'Merican - Fat Wreck Chords
They formed over 25 years ago. They’ve had breaks spanning over half a decade. They are the pioneers of pop-punk. And, they are back! It’s been 8 years since we last saw a release (Everything Sucks) by these guys. But we can forget that all, because the bottom line is: The Descendents are back!!
The five song EP (4 listed songs plus a bonus track) is just a glimpse of what is to come from the band, as they plan to release a new full length album, Cool To Be You, later in the year. ‘Merican does not let us down in any way whatsoever. In fact, it remind us easily of what pop-punk should truly be! Quick, catchy songs, with vocals that get driven into your head but never being obnoxious. Of course, the production quality is amazing, having been produced by drummer Bill Stevenson.
The Descendents were one of the bands that started the punk revolution back in the late ’70s. They may not get quite as much respect as they deserve, but one thing is certain: Milo is back from college and ready to rock and roll! And I, for one, am on the edge of my seat waiting to see their full length release Cool To Be You.
