R.C. Sullivan

Caution - Crash Landing Records

“Caution” is out Friday 22nd November via Crash Landing Records

R.C. Sullivan are a 5 piece band of Dutch origin, who after a change in lead singer last year, writing new songs with this new addition to the group, has by the sound of this new EP given them a slight change in direction than can be heard on previous offerings.

The line up now consists of Jared (vocals), Lennart (guitar), Edo (guitar), Joris (drums) and Jan Jaap (bass)

Pressing play on the 1st track your immediately aware that there is an undercurrent of metal/rock guitar still at the heart of the sound, but beyond this you can also get the feel that with “Downfall Rendezvous” there is a not  so harsh vocal approach to the deliverance of the lyrics, if there are fans of Alkaline Trio out there who enjoyed the more grungier side of their music, then this might be up your street, all be it a much more complicated sound.

The darkness and hardcore Punk sound can still be heard throughout but with the vocal clarity that gives the listener a way into the world of R.C. Sullivan.

As you move through the other 3 songs available on this slab of meaty  melodic punk backed by pounding rhythms that paint interesting pictures in the listeners mind, it becomes clear that their world is very complicated and the music is full of all the twist and turns that come with this.

With the last song “Screen Time” you are also given a sneak peak back to their origins of a heavier thrash rock , but again the vocal holds its own instead of just becoming another instrument drowned by all the others.

R.C. Sullivan now have the groundwork to be a force in the music world.
