Trashed Ambulance

Leapfrog - Thousand Islands Records

Well, we put the nightmare that was 2020 behind us and walked straight into another one, 2021 is looking like a painful replay of last year, there are no gigs on the horizon and we’ve all watched everything that’s worth watching and with very few new movies and series coning our way only music can keep us sane in the long grey expanse that lies ahead of us, unless you live in New Zealand, then you can ignore that opening sentence. To Brighten up what has been a grim start to the year for most of us Alberta punks Trashed Ambulance have released the “Leapfrog” EP that is now available through your favourite digital platform via Thousand Islands Records,

The “Leapfrog” EP is Trashed Ambulance‘s first new material since releasing the “Shorthanded” EP in the Summer of 2019, what you get on this short sharp blast of an EP is three tracks, two of these are new songs, ‘On The Mend‘ and ‘Leapfrog‘, that both contain that raw trashy blend of skate punk and pop punk that you’ve come to expect from trio. To seal the deal there’s a updated version of fan-favorite ‘Delinquent‘, that originally appeared on the band’s 2016 debut full length “Blurry Thoughts“, and confirms that Trashed Ambulance have been in their groove since day one.

Whilst this might be the first new material from Trashed Ambulance in eighteen long months, nine of which have spent in Lockdown, the band has not been idle whilst everything ground to a halt and they have been keeping busy with other projects including launching their own imprint High End Denim Records and through Jawsh And The Drowned Livers, The Offsailors and Burning Nickels, all of whom feature various members of the band, but as fine as these are, and you really should check them out, I’ve gotta say that it’s good to have Trashed Ambulance back again in all their trashy frantic glory.

The “Leapfrog” EP can be streamed and purchased via digital platforms here
