A Voice Made For Silent Movies - Self Released

Out on July 6th via Kopek Millionaires Bandcamp, this release comes at just the right moment in time, a feeling of pent up rock n roll mania that just needs a trigger to be let loose, enter the beast that is ‘A Voice Made For Silent Movies’ a collection of songs that take you right back to the time you discovered what it really felt like to hear music that gave you such a sense of raw fucking energy that it left you drained but wanting more!

Having a name like Johnny Skullknuckles alone has so much cool he deserves a place on your playlist, but lets not be so superficial, after all Mr Skullknuckles certainly isn’t.

Covering ‘Under My Wheels’ gives you a sense of where we are going here, can you even take an Alice Cooper song and slap it right in the middle of your own?  Well if your Johnny, hell yes you can!

Punk Rock with all the roll you could shake a stick at, all wrapped up in five originals and a masterly cover.  From the off your pushed under the bus that is glammed up Gen X sounding ‘Still A Little Bit In Love With You’ with a crazy amount loud built in to the soul of it, this then leads head long into the grab your sexy ass and drag it along to the nearest club, show the world that who you are is what ever you want to be, but most of all ‘Gender Fluid’ is just fucking sexy, cheeky and darn right brilliant.

If you ever thought that the world was going down the pan musically, the mainstream is strangling the life out of what should be passionate pure emotionally charged music, then this collection shows that real life and real music will always fight back, ‘Too Many Guys’ in its very own simplistic way, has you rockin around the room, singing at the top of your voice, not caring who the hell is listening, then the track of the EP slams in like a truck, ‘Suicide and Smiles’ brings you down to the floor with tears in your eyes, yet grinning from ear to ear, with its no holds barred take on the reality of depression, just a sublime.

With all the sanity of a man who has just been drilled in the ear and given an ear worm that will never go away and I’ll treasure forever.  This should be owned by any and every self respecting music fans! This year just gets better and better….
