Thousand Foot Krutch

Phenomenon - Tooth & Nail Records

Toronto has once again spat out another great band. A band that pushes the limits of all music, combining musical creativity from all genres and producing a diverse style that no one can either categorize or resemble. A band, by the name of Thousand Foot Krutch.

The Tooth And Nail Records‘ trio has released a 12 track album upon the unsuspecting world. 12 songs which grab your attention as soon as the first riffs starts blowing through your speakers. 12 songs full of captivating vocal melodies supported by unique guitar rhythms and bass lines. 12 songs of pure energy and total power.

Right from the opening track, Phenomenon, you get a sense that this CD will not let you down. And your mind never changes from that thought. Displaying all their talents, TFK doesn’t just stick with one speed or sound for the whole album. They have some slower songs like This Is A Call and some tracks which are much more vocally driven like Rawkfist. This slight change from one track to another gives you a nice breath and stops the album from being repetitive at all.

Phenomenon isn’t quite a complete phenomenon, but is extremely close to it. It may not have received as much press as some other albums, but deserves twice as much as some of the albums got. It will most likely be gracing the top 10 lists of a couple critics at the end of the year.
