Communipaw – Self-Titled

Singer/songwriter Brian Bond‘s other musical outlet includes drummer Keith Carne, bassist Dave Esterman and guitarist Brian Kelly. By mixing their love of soaring, anthemic indie rock with a classic songwriting sensibility and a slice of alt-country, Communipaw has crafted a dynamic brand of indie-pop, and thus built a reputation for originality in their hometown scene. This recording morphed into a year long adventure that brought the band to eight different studio spaces and inspired eleven new songs, experimentation, revision, and reinvention along every step of the way.The resulting self-titled record illustrates at once a lush synthesis of the group’s diverse influences – from shoegaze to surf rock and everything in between – and a testament to the maturity of the band’s songwriting.
