Ontario punk trio Among Legends kick off their next chapter with H/A/C/K, the lead single from their upcoming full-length, Lose My Grip, that is due out on July 10th. H/A/C/K draws from the band’s roots in southern Ontario’s punk and ska circuit, with touchpoints that run from The Flatliners and Hostage Life through to the melodic urgency of Bad Religion and Less Than Jake. Among Legends have always lived in that space between melody and impact, and H/A/C/K leans into that balance. Fast, punchy, and dialed in, but still carrying the wear and tear of late nights and long drives. You can hear it in the way the guitars lock in and push forward, in the dual vocal energy that never quite settles, always reaching for something just out of frame. That feeling didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s built on years of shows, touring, and time spent figuring out where the band actually fits. Not tied to one scene or one city, but shaped by the in-between. The hours on the 401 somewhere past midnight, gear in the back, heat cranked, chasing the next show. The fluorescent hum of a 24-hour Tim Hortons in a town you barely caught the name of. That’s where Among Legends have always lived.

Among Legends are a band that feels road-tested in the truest sense. Not just tight, but lived-in. At its core, Among Legends is still built on friendship and a shared idea of what playing music should feel like. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is the weight behind it. Lose My Grip finds the band pushing harder into their sound. More aggressive, more focused, and willing to let things hit a little rougher when it counts. With Mitchell Buchanan on bass and vocals, Sara Fellin on drums and former member Tyler Boles on guitar, the trio locks into something immediate and lived-in. H/A/C/K is the first glimpse of that shift. A track that doesn’t overthink it, doesn’t dress itself up. It just hits hard and direct. H/A/C/K is the spark, Lose My Grip is the flame.
