BOSSES officially formed at the onset of a global pandemic in early 2020. Featuring members of Aanthems, The Dead Hits, In Signals and The Greatest Sons, they were looking to bridge the gap between familiar punk rock feels and a no limits approach, to exploring more traditional rock and roll flavors. Their brand new release, the We Died Here EP, was mostly recorded at the band’s small, yet functional, home studio that underlines their commitment to the DIY model and their attempts to do everything themselves as much as humanly possible.

If their debut release, Mutant Tailings, was meant as a glimpse into the diversity of BOSSES writing, We Died Here definitely has a more cohesive tone to it. We Died Here is now available via Early Onset Records and represents a very unique time and place in the world and aims to reflect the ups and downs over the past year. Although often complimented by heavy instrumentation, the lyrics on this EP remind us all to see where we come from, be where we are and project ourselves forward with positivity and hope.
