Brigata Vendetta are a force to be reckoned with in the famed Bay Area punk & hardcore scene. What began as an intentionally more hardcore-focused side project for frontman & bassist Darrel Wojick & guitarist Mike Caputo became their prime outlet during the time Oi! stalwarts Harrington Saints were playing less regularly. Bum City Saints drummer Brian Zobel completed the trio. Combining the raw urgency of classic hardcore with the drive of circle pit streetpunk, the Brigata Vendetta sound is that of unrelenting rage against the power structures of the modern world, the malicious villains that pull the strings, and their footsoldiers.

The trio have now released The Disease and the Cure via Pirates Press Records, the much-anticipated follow-up to the 2024 full length, This is How Democracy Dies. Their sound has evolved since the first album, with both the lyrics being much heavier & darker, reflective of a world of chaos & iniquity. The songs are more intricate without sacrificing speed or aggression. If you’ve felt the seething fury at the greed & brutality we are all subjected to on a daily basis, then the eight songs on The Disease and the Cure are for you.

“This upside down world we are living in. Any empathy or compassion is seen as weakness or ‘woke,’ and being a bully, blowhard, or bootlicker is seen as some sort of strength. This shit is all by design…because it benefits the elite. We should really start thinking we don’t need to fucking live like this.” (Darrel Wojick)
