Denver, CO pop punk four piece Bury Mia have released their new single, We’ve Been Trying to Reach You About Your Car’s Extended Warranty, that was produced by Andrew Berlin at CO’s legendary The Blasting Room. In just a few years the band has launched themselves from sweaty garage practices to packed and rowdy shows across the West Coast. As this four piece punk brotherhood has progressed through growing pains and extricated band members they’ve held a tight grip on their mission to assert their authenticity and musical lineage. As Bury Mia continues to gain recognition, their sound has become tighter and instantly recognizable.
“The single “Car Warranty” (as we’ve come to call it in short) stems from a period of mental instability. It comes from the part of the day where you’re beaten down and everything starts to lull, when you start to think a little more freely. You use your imagination, seeing things in otherwise plain backgrounds, hence the “stare straight at the wall and watch the ships sail towards the sun.” It’s trying to see light in what can almost feel like an unending darkness. And yet knowing that there is always hope. No matter what, never giving up on trying to find the “blue sky.” (Bassist Devin Martinez)
