Captain Accident Unveils New Album “Bad Press”

Captain Accident has released his fourth studio album, Bad Press, on CD and via digital outlets, the album follows three previous albums (2010’s Pick Up the Microphone, 2013’s Slippin’ Up and 2016’s Wake & Break). As often witnessed in the traditional roots of reggae and ska, the message is both politicised and agitated whilst being enveloped by the sweetest of rhythms and vocal performance. It’s a trait that has epitomised the previous albums and continues with Bad Press.

Captain Accident creates his unique blend of roots reggae, ska and rocksteady at his studio in Cardiff, a sound that is then transformed to the live stage with the help of five exceptional musicians. The band were handpicked by the legendary Toots & The Maytals to support on a run of UK dates in 2016 and impressed them to such an extent that they were invited to perform as full tour support in 2017 and 2018. They were then asked to support on the full Toots & The Maytals European tour in 2020 but, naturally, this was initially postponed due to Covid-19 and subsequently cancelled following the death of Toots Hibbert.
