Angeleño band Carnage Asada are an integral part of the tapestry and history of the Los Angeles punk scene. Featuring members who’ve done time in bands such as Legal Weapon, Saccharine Trust, Alice Bag Band and The BellRays their pedigree is indisputable. The three founding members in this line-up, David Jones, George Murillo and Dave Travis, originally coalesced in the early 1980s while attending junior high school together, bonding over punk rock bands like Black Flag, X and The Germs.
By 1993, Carnage Asada was officially formed. With a new album titled, Head On A Platter, slated for worldwide release on August 23rd via Historical Records, the band is ready for their next chapter of history making. Head On A Platter was recorded at Wasatch Studios in Los Angeles, California, and engineered by David O. Jones and his son Sebastian Jones. Carnage Asada will also be hitting the road across Southern California throughout the Summer and Fall including an album release show for Head On A Platter at Artshare in Downtown Los Angeles.
“We, humans, have become so de-sensitized to violence and violent images. Now it’s okay to see a decapitated head on a platter and think, ‘Oh well, that’s normal.’ Death has become a cartoon. ‘The normalcy of death and violence.’” (frontman & lyricist George Murillo)
