Wild Honey Records Release Free 2026 Sampler
Wild Honey Records is still run the same way it started: out of a garage, non-profit, no contracts, and a…
Maui based, fiercely independent record label Deep Elm Records have announced that Save Your Heart, from Swedens’ Lights & Motion will be their 200th release. Label founder John Szuch is proud to have reached the milestone. and has heaped praise on the band, saying:
“Every Lights & Motion song is so definitively epic and so massively majestic, resulting in a timeless energy that is seemingly created from the same stuff dreams are made of. It’s hard to believe that Christoffer is still just getting started. Reanimation is undoubtedly one of the best post-rock records ever to be released and we expect the same of Save Your Heart. To have such an incredible record represent our 200th release really is the icing on the cake to our 18 year history as a purely independent label…
…I’m blown away when I think back to our humble beginnings, self-distributing our first vinyl 45s via bicycle / backpack in NYC and practically begging stores like Mondo Kim’s, Bleeker Street and Generation Records to take just one copy on consigment for a dollar. Over the years we’ve been priviledged to work with so many incredible artists: Jimmy Eat World, Nada Surf, Chris Carrabba from Dashboard Confessional, The Appleseed Cast, Latterman, Camber, Planes Mistaken For Stars and so many more. I could not be happier about our current roster including Lights & Motion, Carly Comando, Moonlit Sailor, Last Lungs, Accents, Dorena, This Drama, Our Lost Infantry, The Dandelion War and The Lions Rampant to name just a few of our incredible artists. And I have to thank all of our dedicated fans all over the world…we certainly could not do this without them. I like to think of Deep Elm as the music industry’s best kept secret…and I hope it stays that way.”
We at thepunksite would like to congratulate John and Deep Elm in reaching this milestone, and we look forward to seeing (and hearing) the next 200!
